If you donвЂ™t see it, then perhaps you havenвЂ™t installed the right set of drivers to make it work. If your integrated microphone is on this list, click the icon.

There you should see the list of disabled devices.

In this menu, scroll down to the вЂњInput devicesвЂќ section.

To enable it, click вЂњManage sound devicesвЂќ beneath the drop-down menu.

If the drop-down menu shows вЂњNo input device foundвЂќ, it may be because you havenвЂ™t enabled the integrated microphone.

For example, it may look like this: Microphone (Conexant ISST Audio). ItвЂ™s usually the one called simply вЂњMicrophoneвЂќ, with the manufacturerвЂ™s name next to it.

In the вЂњChoose your output deviceвЂќ drop-down menu, select the integrated microphone from the list.

The вЂњSound settingsвЂќ option should appear.

You can also click the Windows logo on the taskbar in the lower left corner of the screen.

These new features make it an even more powerful way to teach and share videos in a time when we are continuing to need quick and easy ways to share our screens and create content.ДЇor me, if I have a student out and they are not available on Zoom, I can quickly bring up Screencastify and record what weвЂ™re doing that day and send it to them as a video. It is a simple, fantastic tool that should be in every educator and learner toolkit. It is also one of the first tools I teach teachers.

I continue to have my students download Screencastify during the first week of school. It gives you deeper information into how the videos youвЂ™re creating are performing. Inside the video analytics dashboard inside Screencastify, you can see who is watching your videos and how they are engaged with the content. You can still publish to Edpuzzle or have the embedded video point to your video on Google Drive, so those features remain available as well as exporting to YouTube.

The QR Code feature is still available but now when it is used and you share your video on Google Classroom, through Wakelet, email, or on Remind, it points to the video on the Screencastify site so you can ask questions and measure analytics.

Inside the Screencastify platform, you can now add quick questions to assess for understanding when hosted on the Screencastify platform.
